COFFFFEEEEE and a nice letter...
Oct. 15th, 2003 10:47 amTHIS WAS SUCH A NICE LETTER, I NEEDED TO POST IT! It's from my Squadron Commander in CAP. I'll admit it, I'm starting to really like the thought of being hot shit for a week with my family and Squad. I mean, my family will see I'm not a kid anymore. Maybe it's a little vain, or a lot vain, it's not important in the slightest because I never stopped to help because I wanted a medal pinned on my chest. It's just the right thing to do, I feel the energy course through my body when I pull up to an accident, and I do my job (It's not my JOB, but I wish it was, I can't wait till I'm an EMT in December...). Capt. Felton's letter to me:
Holy cow and congratulations!!!! PLEASE:
1) Wear the CAP uniform!
2) Get some good digital photos (keep shaking hands until you're sure
you have some)!
3) Get a copy of whatever program or publication is available!
and
4) Ask them if you can have a ride down in one of their aircraft (a helo
or C206 are your options...I think I'd take either)
You surely deserve recognition. I've just finished reading your account
and am now in the middle of Stacey's. You guys certainly went through a
traumatic event at which you made clear contributions. Thanks on behalf
of everyone who drives on California's freeways and who might someday be
in need of help from someone willing to stop!
Again, congrats!
Greg
Wasn't that a nice letter! Back to work, I'm buzzed on COFFFFFEEEEE!
