WOW, Monday, what a strange night. 3 ribbons for my uniform, 5 minutes of total flattery from my squadron commander in front of the entire squad and their guests THAT INCLUDED FRIENDS OF MINE =), and Member of the Year. To tell you the truth, I could've done better during the year, things got really busy for me in other areas. But seeing everything we've done as a unit... He mentioned EVERYTHING I did in 8 months, no joke. "5 finds, 8 missions, 3 SAREX's, I never have to pick up the phone when we get a page because I know Mike will be calling me shortly to get a crew together, alerting system, big increase in missions as a squadron after Mike took over as ES officer... EMT, Medical officer, CHP award, etc, etc." HOW NICE!! Here, let me give you the CAP Sports Style Speech... Tell me if this doesn't sound like something you'd see after a football game from some player that's hot shit that day...

"Well you know Bob, we're out there as a team, giving it 110%. On offense the pilots got us where we needed to be. On defense, we went after the Drug Dealers hideouts and directed teams to the area to Sack the crops. Can't say enough about the defense, tracking inbound shipments and vessels at sea, getting help from the coast guard to tackle the carriers as they approached the destination, or end zone. It was a good effort on both sides of the ball, and we look forward to the next game. Again, we did it as a team, everyone gave it their all. HI MOM!"

I received the Lifesaver award with Silver Star. It's for the September 1st crash Stace and I stopped for and helped at until choppers came to take the kids away to the hospital and an ambulance for the Mom. In addition I got my find ribbon, and the membership ribbon. Next step, get tech ratings, more missions, as well as plan the May SAREX.

The red ribbon with the star no one else at my unit has that... It just looks GOOD and I can't wait to wear it... When I'm the right weight to be able to wear them anyway lol. Damn CAP/Air Force grooming standards...

It was a great evening. I'll post pics later of everything, at least on Yahoo, and maybe Stace will get me some space to store shit where she posts pics.
