It's been a long week.

I got a page Tuesday night requesting search Aircraft in the Modesto area at about 8pm. After my exam in Fire 71 (which I think I managed to get a 105%-110% on), I called my pilots and got a 4 person crew together. It included myself of course =) Tom, Greg, Jeff (and Jeff's C-206... ohhh cherry, nice =) ). I woke up at 0415, left the house at 0445. We launch at 0545 and were about 15 minutes from the search area (0635)... when we hear that the Sheriff has already found the bodies and some of the wreckage. As we orbit overhead, we notice the wings on the hillside about 1/2 mile from the rest of the main wreckage. It looks like it broke up in flight.

It was pretty gruesome. 18 y/o F and 24 y/o M. It's very sad. This was her introduction flight, 30 minutes long, but they never made it home. They were about 8 miles from the home airport.

After a few photo passes we departed the area and landed back at base at 0805 and I was at the office by 0900. SO, got a mission in and still didn't miss a minute of work.

It was awesome when we picked up Leslie in Oakland that night! *snort* haha!

ANYWAY, it's been a jam packed couple days. We were late to the airport thanks to the Richmond bridge practically being shut down. We had to go to the Golden Gate and down Bay St. to the Bay Bridge. LONG way to get to the Oakland airport and home...

I got a 95% on my first major Exam in Cardiac Arrhythmias, had a beer to celebrate. Not bad huh?. The only things I missed... I didn't label waves ON the rhythm strips, but below it. I was correct in my analysis however, which was of course the important part. However she decided to dock me anyway. Shit happens, moving on.
