Apr. 5th, 2004 04:38 pmOh, and I got hit this morning by what I thought was a hit and run drunk driver. Long story short, after a 15 minute game of follow the drunk that almost hit 5 parked cars on the side of the freeway, CHP met up with me and pulled over a teal color Honda. He wasn't drunk. It was an old man on his way to have back surgery. He was scared to death. Of going to jail, of losing his car, of losing his license, of hurting someone else... I bet in the end one of those things will happen. I had a choice, press charges for hit and run, or believe this shaky old man and his story that he didn't know he had tapped my truck (no damage, btw). I believed him. It was very gentle, might have thought it was a bump in the road. After that, it was off to my office, 45 minutes late.
Kinda bummed Stace might be gone all Saturday. I can't even really say if I like the mint or not. I've been too worried about other people while I was there both times to say I even gave it a decent chance. I do know that not going to SF even if I have to sit at home alone bored off my ass during my spring break weekend is really REALLY high up there on my things I want to do list. Stace and I sharing a fun weekend, just the 2 of us for the first time in over a month would be perfect. But, I'll settle for gracefully dropping off the radar for a day or 2 this weekend since I have no classes to study for thanks to spring break.
