Dec. 19th, 2005 12:32 pmCHEERS SCOTT! One EMT to another.
Mortality reminder to those of us that have a hardon when it comes to being the first in. The reason I hesitate to stop if I have anyone with me in my truck...
And to you idiot drivers that don't pay attention to when it rains, SLOW DOWN so you won't kill me or people like me.
Thanks.
Blue Skies from Sq. 23 Scott...

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the death of Lt. Scott Lofgren, of Sq. 44 Concord in a traffic incident early this morning.
Our deepest condolences go out to Scott's wife and family.
Scott an EMT by profession was returning home from work this morning, along Hwy 80 in Berkeley. When a vehicle in front of him spun out hitting a overpass support Scott stopped to assist. After rendering first aid to the accident victim, Scott was setting out flares when another vehicle loss control on the rain soaked roadway striking him, his vehicle and the original accident victim.
Scott was a active member in Sq. 44, involved in communications, cadet programs, and emergency services. We will miss him greatly.
When service arrangements are known we will post them here.
Sadly,
Jim Anthony, Capt.
Sq. 44, Concord
