Why do I enjoy it so much?
Mar. 25th, 2004 04:18 pmI don't know really. I get a rush. I feel like I'm getting a chance to DO something. It beats being behind a desk as my claim to fame. It's something I do really well, ONE OF THE FEW THINGS I DO WELL! It's giving me a chance to get my hours in and get my license. I see operations from the front line versus the rear. I see what the force of impact does versus just the end result to a person. I get to fly. Others count on and trust me to hold my end of the line. I'm not micro-managed like at work. I meet new people and see things you don't normally get to see. I build up experience in leadership I can put on my resume. It makes me a better person and appreciate life. It reminds me that life is short. I get thank you's for my time and effort. Because I don't HAVE to do it at all. It's a passion. It makes me a more attractive person. It motivates me to get in better shape. Reminds me there's more to life then sitting at home (though I love doing that too). I'm serving my country and the people on the homefront, 100% volunteer.
List of cons to follow probably...
